PCI to CompactPCI Interface
Key Facts StarFabric Interface Module Applications The R&S®TS-PSC0 called “The Bridge” from Hartmann Elektronik use the StarFabric technology. To support this, each card is equipped with two links that are accessible externally via four RJ45 jacks and are interconnected using standard network patch cables. As a minimum requirement CAT-5 cables are to be used. Cables used for the transmit and receive lines of a link should be identical in length.
Specifications The plug-in cards are available in two different types – as PCI cards or as CompactPCI cards (CPCI). Both types are available as 32-bit or 64-bit PCI bus plug-in cards with the following performance features:
  • 33 MHz / 66 MHz (automatic clock frequency selection) CPCI bus cards 64-bit PCI cards with automatic bus width detection (32 bit / 64 bit).
  • Cards for the 3.3-volt or 5.0-volt PCI bus
  • Cards with 33 or 66 MHz PCI bus clock frequency
  • Configurable as root or leaf card
  • Data transfer rate of 2.5 Gbit/s (Single Link) / 5 Gbit/s (Bundled Link)
